By accessing the online shop, opening an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
By submitting an order, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
You agree that Schoemans may provide quotations, order confirmations and invoices electronically.
Submission of an order does not automatically guarantee acceptance or stock availability.
An order is confirmed once Schoemans has processed it and the goods have been dispatched or made available for collection.
Customers may be required to create a Schoemans online profile.
You are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password;
- ensuring that your account information is accurate; and
- preventing unauthorised access to your account.
Schoemans is not responsible for loss resulting from unauthorised account access caused by a customer’s failure to keep credentials secure.
By purchasing through the online store, you consent to the collection and processing of information necessary for:
- processing your order;
- payment processing;
- delivery or collection;
- customer support; and
- order-related communication.
All products shown on the Website are subject to availability.
Adding a product to a shopping cart or wish list does not reserve stock or guarantee the displayed price.
If an item becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, Schoemans will notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible.
Prices are displayed in Namibian Dollars (NAD) and apply to transactions within Namibia.
Prices may change without prior notice due to circumstances including:
- supplier price changes;
- exchange-rate fluctuations; and
- product availability.
Where a quotation is issued, the quotation will remain open for acceptance only for the validity period stated on that quotation.
Quoted prices remain subject to availability and may change where exchange-rate fluctuations or supplier changes affect the cost before acceptance.
Schoemans aims to display product information accurately.
Product colours, images, packaging or appearance may vary from the Website because of:
- device display settings;
- supplier changes;
- packaging changes; or
- manufacturing variations.
Schoemans reserves the right to correct genuine pricing, specification, description or stock errors before completing an order.
Schoemans may cancel or decline an order where:
- a transaction is suspected to be fraudulent;
- stock is unavailable;
- an incorrect price has been displayed;
- product information contains a material error;
- payment cannot be confirmed;
- there is a history of non-payment; or
- there is suspected abuse of promotional offers.
Where Schoemans cancels a fully paid order and the customer qualifies for a refund, the amount due will be refunded.
Online-store delivery is available within Namibia only.
Delivery may be performed by Schoemans or a third-party courier.
Shipping or delivery costs are not necessarily included in a quotation or displayed product price.
The applicable shipping charge may be determined according to the delivery address at checkout.
Delivery charges may take into account:
- destination;
- weight;
- size; and
- type of product.
Printers and other large or heavy technology products may attract additional delivery charges.
Normal delivery operations take place:
- Monday to Thursday: 09:00–17:00
- Friday: 09:00–16:00
Weekends and public holidays are excluded unless otherwise arranged.
Products will be delivered to the address supplied by the customer during checkout.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that delivery information is correct and that an authorised recipient is available.
Once the goods have been delivered and signed for by the customer or an authorised recipient, Schoemans is no longer responsible for loss or damage occurring after delivery.
Customers may select collection where that option is available.
Standard collection for online orders is from the Schoemans Head Office in Windhoek.
Collection from another Schoemans branch must:
- be arranged in advance;
- be communicated to Schoemans; and
- receive prior approval.
Collection arrangements should be made at least two working days in advance.
Identification and proof of order may be required when collecting goods.
Goods that remain uncollected for 28 days may result in the order being cancelled.
Where appropriate, applicable storage, handling or cancellation costs may be deducted before any refund is processed.
Unused goods may be returned within 7 days of delivery or collection, provided that:
- the goods are unused;
- they remain in original packaging;
- all accessories and documentation are included; and
- proof of purchase is supplied.
If an incorrect or defective product is received:
- retain all packaging;
- avoid removing labels unnecessarily; and
- notify Schoemans as soon as possible.
Where the item is confirmed as incorrect or defective and qualifies for return, Schoemans will arrange the applicable repair, replacement or refund.
A return may be refused where damage arose because of:
- misuse;
- improper installation;
- inappropriate operating or environmental conditions;
- customer negligence; or
- unauthorised modification.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, all warranties are carry-in warranties.
Products must be taken to the applicable warranty centre in Namibia or the relevant Schoemans technical department for assessment and repair.
Unless the individual product terms state otherwise, the applicable warranty covers hardware only.
Software is not included in the hardware warranty.
Schoemans does not guarantee the compatibility or performance of software, including third-party software.
Customers are responsible for checking that hardware and software meet their specific requirements before purchase.
At Schoemans’ discretion, qualifying defective products or components may be repaired or replaced where the defect:
- arises under normal use, care and maintenance; and
- is reported within the applicable reporting or warranty period.
Where the applicable warranty conditions require notification within two weeks of delivery, the customer must report the defect within that period.
Warranty coverage does not extend to defects or damage caused by:
- normal wear and tear;
- materials, workmanship or specifications supplied by the buyer;
- failure to comply with storage, installation, operating or environmental requirements;
- inadequate maintenance;
- unauthorised modifications or repairs;
- unauthorised software;
- unauthorised spare parts or replacement components; or
- misuse or negligence.
If inspection determines that a reported defect is not covered by warranty, the customer may be charged the reasonable costs incurred in inspecting and rectifying the defect.
Orders may be cancelled before dispatch using the applicable cancellation option in the customer’s order summary, where available, or by contacting Schoemans.
If goods have already left the warehouse, the customer may be charged:
- the applicable delivery or shipping fee; and
- a 15% cancellation fee.
Any refund due will be processed only after the returned goods have been received and assessed.
Online transactions may be processed through reputable third-party payment service providers.
Where credit or debit card payment is available, payment is processed at checkout.
Approved refunds for returns or cancelled orders may take up to 10 working days to reflect in the customer’s account, depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
